What Do Homeless Cats in Utah Need? A Kitty Carnival.
In July 2011, PetSmart Charities sponsored a very special community adoption event aimed at finding homes for homeless cats and kittens in Salt Lake City. Many adoption events focus on finding homes for dogs, and cats are often adopted at much lower rates. Enhanced Adoption Centers: Second Chances for Adoptable Pets
Last week, new members of the Arizona-based PetSmart Charities team toured local animal welfare organization facilities to understand the importance of issues these organizations face and how PetSmart Charities funding helps. Included in the trip was a visit to a Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) facility, where about 150 pets are brought within a day.
